Indiana Choice Scholarship Program

Carmel Latin School is a participating school in the Indiana Choice Scholarship Program (also known as the “Voucher” program). Through this program, eligible families with students in Kindergarten through grade 12, can receive partial tuition payment for CLS.

Starting with the 2026-27 school year, all Indiana families will be eligible for school vouchers regardless of household income. If vouchers remain at current rates, estimated vouchers for CLS students can range from approximately $6,100 to $7,400 per student, per school year.

To get an estimate of your voucher award amount, please visit the Indiana Department of Education website. The estimated voucher award amount is dependent on the school district where the student resides.

All schools wishing to participate in the Indiana Choice Scholarship Program must complete a Choice School Application annually. Carmel Latin School will stay vigilant to assure our school continues to uphold our mission, curriculum and culture that we cherish. Each year, we will be assessing the Indiana Choice Scholarship Program to ensure that future participation aligns with the CLS vision and mission.

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Families can apply at a participating Choice school. They will need to complete their Indiana Choice Scholarship application with Carmel Latin School’s Director of Finance and Accounting between *March 1, 2026 and May 15, 2026 in order for the voucher to be applied to their tuition fees in their June payment. For half year awards,  families need to complete their application between November 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026 in order to have the tuition fees charged in their January 2027 billing reflect the net amount after the Indiana Choice Scholarship award has been applied.  Since it takes time to process an application, we have set May 15 and December 31 as the deadline for applications. 

    *Note: at this time, the 2026-27 school year voucher dates have not yet been released. These are anticipated dates based on last school year’s application window.

  • The Indiana Department of Education Office of School Finance administers the Choice Scholarship Program.

  • No. The Choice Scholarship is a year-long award.
